There seems to be a common misconception among musicians when it comes to creating and designing their band’s logo.  Most, it seems ,are under the impression that it is a costly project to approach.  This could not be further from the truth.  With the internet, most of the design can be acquired for free.

Design is easy.  Just provide your band’s name, the font, and your symbol.  Then let us know how you would like to combine the two.  (A design fee may be applied for those who are looking to create logos with a lot of detail.)

There are free fonts available at dafont. tons of free template shapes at VinylDisorder, all that’s missing is your combination of the two.

Creating custom vinyl text decals for personal and commercial applications.

There are no limits when it comes to the possibilities of custom vinyl words and phrases at VinylDisorder.  Ive seen people create their family names, inspirational quotes, band names, labels, jokes, and other random statements.  Just when I think I’ve seen it all, I’m proven wrong.

The places that people apply the decals are just as diverse as the words contained within.  Cars, trucks, RV’s, motorcycles, bicycles, trailers, mailboxes, surfboards, snowboards, skateboards, walls, and windows.  You get the idea.

Corn Hole Boards

I have noticed a growing popularity in a fun game involving corn hole boards.  It is a lawn game in which players take turns throwing bean bags at a raised platform with a hole in the far end. These platforms are usually made with plywood or plastic and are often decorated. A corn bag in the hole scores 3 points, while one on the platform scores 1 point. Play continues until a player reaches the score of 21.

The best way I can describe the game play is that it’s like being able to play horse shoes anywhere.  Everybody seems to enjoy themselves when a few beers and a game or two of corn hole is involved.  It is such a simple, yet clever game.

Sticker Designer

After countless hours of meetings and designing, it is my pleasure to see the sticker generator go live at VinylDisorder.  The potential of this project has been the cause for so many excited faces here.  We are now able to give the customer the ability to design their own sticker over the internet.  Eliminating the cost of a design fees, that may be a deterrent for many third parties.

The entire process has been designed to maximize efficiency, and to minimize cost.  In less than ten steps you are able to do what may have taken a few phone calls, a couple emails, and some collaboration from two or more parties.

None of this would ever be possible without the internet, and it never ceases to amaze me at how the technology can be applied to accommodate our needs and desires.

1 Wheel Felons

Recently and in the past we have taken on a detailed, fun, and exciting project for a motorcycle riding crew called “1 Wheel Felons“.  A group of stunt riders who stand united under one idea “go big, or go home.”

Just watching the videos of these guys doing their thing out on the streets gets my heart pumping, and my adrenaline rushing!!  They do wheelies of all sorts; clutch ups, standing wheelies, nose wheelies, even sitting over the handle bars going down the highway.   I saw one clip of a guy doing a burnout at around 50mph!!

We look forward to providing products to them in the future.  The project we did for them was very detailed and had the most enjoyable set of images to look at.

How to create your own custom greek fraternity and sorority lettering.

My college house enjoyed the ease of creating custom greek lettering for our entry at VinylDisorder.com. A few simple steps and my decal was complete. All that was needed was the letters, the size that I required, color, and the font name (if you choose a custom one like we did.). Now our fraternity stands out even more than the others on our campus! We are very satisfied with this affordable decorating method.

Drum Heads

I’ve been to quite a few concerts recently, and have noticed a growing trend.  I am used to seeing bands with stickers and decals on their kick drums, but as of late I have noticed more and more musicians decorating the sides of their rack toms and floor toms.

The decorations vary.  I’ve seen some with just the band name, their wife’s name ( or other special someone.).  I even saw a guy with a really cool picture of a demon on the side of his floor tom.  They are using both die cut vinyl, and printed vinyl stickers.  Both achieve a great result.  I am partial to the die cut myself as I enjoy seeing the sheen of the drum between the vinyl.

It’s great to see such an awesome product used in such an intuitive way.  I can’t wait to see where the future, and the consumer take the industry.

I’m writing this blog while sitting in our production warehouse marveling at all of the different vinyl decals and stickers that we’ve decorated our walls with over the years.  We have many walls with different themes.

There’s one wall that is dedicated solely to our favorite characters and moments from our what we think are the best cartoons.  Another that is very similar, but is dedicated to movies instead.  There’s a wall dedicated to all of our employee’s favorite bands and musicians as well.  Oh, and let’s not forget the wall of completely random but awesome stuff!!

It has been a fantastic and remarkable experience watching the transformation that has taken place in the building here.  I’m looking forward to watching the evolution of our office.
